Action Pop Up is a program made by software developer and Internet marketer Robert Plank. The software is intended to increase opt-in rates for email newsletters since traditionally opt-in rates tend to be low. Plank believes that by getting the attention of prospect using a pop up, that opt-in rates are likely to be higher.

What is Action Pop Up?

The basic idea behind Action Pop Up is a bit simple. A lot of people that visit sites fail to even see most opt-in email forms. Plank believes that by getting the prospect's attention w/ a pop-up that opt-in rates will be higher.

The truth is, he has a few case studies that teach the use of Action Pop Up greatly enhances opt-in rates. Although a lot of people find pop ups to be a headache, the simple truth is that they work so well.

How does Action Pop Up work?

The way in which Action Pop Up works is that when a user visits a blog or webpage, the program performs using a small piece of code placed on w/in the page that'll display a dialog box. This box has the opt-in fields and could be customized to pop-up in any number of ways. It could be customized in terms of size, color, and content which makes it adaptable for almost in any site design. After a consumer has "opted in", the program gives you the choice to redirect the consumer to a predetermined page or keep them on the current page.

There are certain data protection measures and regulations you must follow, but should you do this, building an effective and quality mailing list will help you to grow your business, your market and hopefully your revenue stream. Offering your products to someone that has already been on your site or purchased before is a much more qualified lead, because if you did a good job, the person is likely to remember you, trust you and therefore buy from you again.

But, if you are looking to build up a mailing list, what are the ways you can achieve this?

Sell A Product – Any company selling a product online will normally at least ask for an email address, if not more details to initially register. Every person who has ordered online will at some stage receive an email advertising to them other products from the same company, as if you have existing customers, you must keep them coming back, and sending out information about new products or offering them discounts is a good way to do this, but you need to capture their data first.

Give Something Away For Free – Everyone loves something for nothing, and you can build up your client or mailing list by giving them a chance to win something or maybe giving away a free product or download. As long as the free offering is useful and of good quality, people will sign up to receive your free gift, but only do this if you are genuinely giving something away, as an invitation to win a holiday in the Caribbean that then never materialises is only going to cause your company reputation much damage and is of course considered basic fraud!

Offer Services – If you are going to be offering a service, like a free website review or informative chat over the phone offering advice or guidance about something, you can capture people's data this way, as most users will welcome the chance to have a free service, especially with the current economical climate being so tough.

Give The User Exclusive Content – One way to attract user registrations is to offer them content, something they can only read or have access to should they sign up and be registered with your site. More people are willing to do this now days, but do make sure they are not disappointed and that when they get access to the content, they feel it has been worthwhile joining your site. Maybe offer them access to your articles or produce a decent PDF guide that they can download once registered, just make sure its quality content.

Tutorials Or Advice For Registered Users – A great way of capturing emails is to offer a 5 part guide to something or regular information that is useful and rewarding to the client. This way, not only are you building your mailing list but you are also making people look forward to your emails and releases, and if you do them at the same time each week for example, people will come to expect them and if you get to this stage you will have a solid mailing list and data capture.

No matter how you plan to capture visitor's data you must make sure that you reward them for giving you their information or spending money with you. Like Tesco's, make sure you give them something for coming back to your shop and spending money, or like a newspaper, give something away for free or offer the user a chance to win something.

As long as they do not feel disappointed after registering with you, you can begin to build an effective and useable mailing list within no time and start cross selling your products or services to a market that you know is already interested.

The 10 Minute Opt-In Success Domain was registered on July 6th 2007 by Michael Savoie. Michael is a Microsoft Certified Systems Engineer and the creator of this course. The purpose if this program is to enable you to start building your email marketing list a lot faster than you are doing right now by using just 10 minutes of work per day. He believes having targeted opt-in subscribers is the golden key to succeeding in internet marketing, and if you don't build a list you're just begging to fail.

The 10 Minute Opt-In Success program teaches you that if you have a product but no list, what's the point of moving forward. Michael Savoie is also the creator of the product in one weekend newsletter, where he shows the people on his list how to churn out product after product at very fast speeds. He combines this teaching skill with some of the most renowed names of Internet Marketing. Some of the people he interviewed and methods he teaches in his newsletter has allowed people to work from home verses their job.

One of the things 10 Minute Opt-In Success will teach you is how to find people that need your help and how to gear your autoresponder follow-ups to find these people. It will also show you how to make yourself sound serious to your subscribers so they'll keep buying your stuff. He will show you how to make sure your newsletter is a real money making tool and not just a hobby tool. You will have templates and scripts available so you don't have to go out and pay for these yourself.

There's a lot of regurgitated information out in Internet Marketing Land these days, but a lot of these ideas while very simple, make logical sense and can help someone new that doesn't know all the ropes of building a responsive email list. If you want a copy of this you don't have to worry about the price since it's under $8.00, at least it was at the time of this writing. He also goes over Web 2.0 methods to building your list.

Having a list is important these days, but believe me you don't need one to make money on the internet. But if you are in the Internet Marketing or Network Marketing Niche especially or any niche you are passionate about, you should learn all the tips you can so you can start building a responsive email list at the same time you are ramping up traffic to your websites. At least cost isn't an issue with this course, but if you feel you already know the stuff he talks about you might not need it, and if you are new you should learn it.

It was not too long ago that most people had no internet leave alone e-mail address. But internet brought in a new era that is full of unlimited information. Internet gave birth to electronic mail popularly known as e-mail. E-mail opened new avenues to the world of communication. In the beginning e-mail was only used as another means of communicating with other people for personal or business related matters. Now people of every age group have an e-mail address. But, since past few years its potential for marketing has been exploited to its maximum both in good and as well as bad manner. At the same time who can disregard the services of direct mail which has been operating since nearly two centuries? It is still the preferred method of communication for many people.

E-mail is the cheapest method of communicating available as of this date. The advantage with email is that you can send email to many people at the same time just with the click of a mouse where as in the case of direct mails one has to go through putting letters in envelopes for each and every person, make different address labels, mail it and also have to bear the cost of mailing. Time is money and e-mail marketing saves a lot of time.

While e-mail marketing might look easy but if you compare the net result the story is totally different. When you are marketing through e-mail you go to make sure that you are e-mailing the right person otherwise the e-mail would end up going to junk folder. Also you got to be careful that you don't miss the subject or the body of the e-mail otherwise the net result would be same. In this age of spamming, spammers use variety of subjects, so you have to put the subject keeping in mind that it wouldn't send your e-mail to the spam folder again. In contract the direct mail gets a better treatment.

Studies show that direct mail is more efficient and has better success than e-mail. First, it is not as easy to block direct mail as junk e-mail and secondly the process of blocking mails itself is not automated like e-mail. The other reason why people hate e-mail marketing is due to constant bombarding of e-mails from spammers and illegal marketers from Nigerian money scams to porn to online prescription drugs to stock quotes to what not. In addition to that, you also get promotional offers from big companies and who can ignore phishing these days. Due to all these people have developed a negative perception about e-mail marketing and they simply delete or spam the e-mail if they do not identify it as their regular e-mail. In contrast direct mail is seen with respect and people pick their mail as a daily routine and open them with a priority.

Direct mail has a personal feel attached to it, one of the reasons why people prefer mail greetings over an electronic greeting. It takes time to personalize a direct mail where as an e-mail is instant and the fate of e-mail is also instant i.e. immediate deletion. Researchers are constantly puzzled by the mystery surrounding why people are so enthusiastic about direct mail. But no worries this only good news for the marketers that they have something in their tool kit that works. So marketers have the mailing list of potential customers handy and send some nicely composed letters to them about your company and its products.

Snail mail has a potential of going through the hands of gatekeepers and administrative assistants before actually going to their boss which can end up being thrown in trash. The survival chances are rare unless its subject is business oriented and has some important information. But e-mail wins in this regard, as it reaches directly the person to which it is intended to go, after that its fate is left to the person whether to read or send it to spam folder.

A more scientific explanation of why direct mail is dearer to people than e-mail is the sensory perception of people. A direct mail uses three of the four senses of a person i.e. visual, verbal, listening and touching where as e-mail does not use sense of listening and touching. But this can be achieved by adding appealing graphics, text reading ability and streaming audio to the e-mail.

The statistics show that direct mail has not died and in fact the volume has grown by leaps and bounds in past few decades. A typical example is the fact that we receive more magazines, journals, mails from universities, DVDs etc. than we used to receive few years ago. This leaves the marketers with a dilemma about which method to use. The answer is simple, use email to contact only those people who you know and use direct mail for the people who don't know you.

A question that many Internet Marketers would love to have the answer to but the fact remains, this is actually very easy. Let me tell you this...

I remember once looking for joint venture partners and almost baulking at the size of other peoples lists. Here I was with a list of 300 trying to compete with the "big hitters" with lists of 8000 plus!

I felt daunted and intimidated and wondered how, if ever, I was going to reach those heights with my list building strategies.

So why was I finding it so difficult to build my list....

Well, I quickly came to realize that I was over complicating things because I had no organized list building strategy in place. I was without a plan and had no direction or understanding of effective list building strategies.

A few articles here and there, a couple of Giveaway events. I maybe averaged one or two subscribers a week.

I was basically going nowhere fast. Eventually, I had to take hold of my list building activities and start working smarter.

How times change....

Almost by chance, I acquired a structured list building system that has successfully built me a highly responsive, quality email list for my business. I work to a monthly plan which is then broken down into weekly activities, all made up from different but highly effective list building strategies.

The key point is that I now work to a structured plan. This helps me to focus and structure my list building which is a major part of my online business.

You can copy this exact strategy and build yourself a list for your business quickly and easily. It's simple and yet so effective, and will play a major part of your online business for years to come.

The question is, are you ready to follow my exact List Building Strategies?

I highly recommend you check out these List Building Tactics that has been proven time and time again to build a high quality, responsive list for your business.

Remember, follow these structured plans and you will see how easy it is to quickly build a highly responsive email list for your business.

Stopping email SPAM all together is an almost impossible thing in today's world. However one of the worst (and usually embarrassing) kinds of SPAM to receive is the "make your penis bigger" email, especially if you are at work, and even worse if it has pictures. Fortunately Outlook and Vista Mail (not Outlook Express) has a nice feature that lets us eliminate this or any other type of type of SPAM from ever getting to our mailbox.

The steps for Vista Mail and Outlook are similar so I will only include steps for both when there are differences between the two. Also these steps are best done when you still have the SPAM email that you want to block.

Go to Tools
In Vista Mail choose "Message Rules" then "Mail". In Outlook choose "Rules and Alerts."
In Outlook choose "New Rule" then in the "Start from a blank rule" box choose "Check messages when they arrive." Now push "Next."
From the "Select Conditions" box; in Vista Mail put a checkmark into "Where the Subject Line contains specific words" and another checkmark into "Where the message body contains specific words"; in Outlook put a checkmark into "with specific works in the subject or body."
From the "Rule Description" box; in Vista Mail click on the FIRST blue underlined link "contains specific words"; in Outlook click on the blue underlined link "specific words".
In the top box put in a word that is used in this message that makes it offensive, such as "penis" or "enlargement", you can also use phrases such as "bigger dick".
Each time you put in a new word or phrase, click on "Add"
When you have added all of the words and phrases push "OK", don't worry you can add more at a later time.
In Vista Mail from the "Rule Description" box; click on the blue underlined link "and" now change it to the second option "Messages match any one of the criteria"; push "OK". The blue underlined link should change to "or".
In Vista Mail from the "Rule Description" box; click on the SECOND blue underlined link "contains specific words". Now repeat steps 6 through 8 using the same words as before.
In Outlook push "Next"
From the "Select Actions" box put a checkmark into "delete it"
In Outlook push "Next" then "Next" again
In the "Name for this Rule" box name the rule appropriately, such as "p.e. SPAM blocker".
In Vista Mail click on "OK" then again on "OK". In Outlook click on "Finish" then "OK".
That's it; from now on any email that contains the words you added earlier will be automatically deleted. If you want to add more words later or delete some go to "Tools" then in Vista Mail go to "Message Rules" then "Mail"; now make sure that the correct rule is selected in the top box and in the "Rule Description" box click on the FIRST blue underlined link "contains…" repeat for the SECOND blue underlined link "contains…" with the same words; in Outlook click on "Rules and Alerts" now make sure that the correct rule is selected in the top box and in the "Rule Description" box click on the blue underlined link.

Be careful NOT to add generic terms such as "dick" because this will block any email that has the word "dick" in the email, even if this is your boss's first name. A specific phrase such as "bigger dick" should be ok unless one of your co-workers is complaining and using a phrase such as "Kyle is a bigger dick than Jack" then again your eyes will never see this email.

This guide will not work if you use Outlook Express

If the Rules and Alerts option is not available in Outlook, it means that you have not setup an email address for use in Outlook.

The version of Outlook used in this guide is the one that came with Microsoft Office 2007, if you are using a different version of Ms. Office then your Outlook may be a bit different, although it will still be close enough for this guide to work for you.

In the 1960s, business executives marveled at their new organization tool – the Rolodex. This clever contraption made it easy to find an associate's or customer's phone number and add or delete contacts in just a few minutes, spinning cards around on its wheel alphabetically. The Rolodex became an essential tool for communication, taking us through the next two decades and into the computer era.

Once personal computers began to populate office desks, electronic mail ensued and business professionals discovered an even smarter way to connect with their customers and foster long-term relationships – email.

Today, electronic communication has become far more prevalent in customer relationship management than the old fashioned phone call or direct mailer due to several key benefits:

the freedom to review and respond at one's leisure
the ability to include supportive documents and hyperlinks
the ability to carefully plan and fine-tune a message prior to delivery
the ability to communicate with a larger audience faster and more cost-effectively
the ability to easily document and archive correspondence

Using Email Marketing to Enhance Customer Relationships

From professional services to manufacturing firms and everything in between, companies depend on email marketing more and more as their primary means for building and sustaining strong relationships with current and prospective customers. Companies may use email newsletters, automated messages and value-added email promotions to enhance customer relationships. Email marketing is effectively used with customers to:

Reinforce Your Brand. Promote your business image, unique selling proposition, corporate philosophy and values using targeted email marketing messages delivered at a frequency most comfortable for your audience members. After repeated exposure, recipients will automatically think of your company's image and message when they need the products, services or solutions offered.

Share Topic Expertise. Don't just advertise your industry expertise. Demonstrate your knowledge by sending regular email newsletters with relevant articles that set your products or services apart. Offer tips and strategies that your readers can use to improve their own lives, work or productivity. Increase customer demand by suggesting creative ways readers can use your company's products or services. For example, a financial consultant may send email newsletters complete with personal finance articles or strategies for higher education or retirement planning. Similarly, a software development firm may offer ideas on using their solution in ways customers might not have considered otherwise.

Build Trust and Loyalty. Email marketing offers an effective means for fostering interaction with your customers. For instance, companies may implement automated triggers that send valuable and appreciated messages to customers immediately following a sale to recommend similar products or other relevant content. They could also send a message a few weeks following service to gather valuable customer feedback through an online survey or poll. Marketing and sales departments also use scheduled birthday and anniversary messages to make their customers feel more appreciated.

Optimizing Your Customer Relations Email Campaign

Investing some time and effort to develop a customer relations email campaign can pay off handsomely in the long run. Email marketing provides an efficient means for message delivery, tracking, assessment and analysis. A permission-based email marketing solution helps companies manage their lists of prospective, current and past customers in the most cost-efficient manner possible.

When launching an email campaign to optimize relationships, you'll first want to develop a strategy that pushes relevant, timely and value-added news and information to your contacts on a consistent basis. This content might include featured and guest articles, Q&As, product reviews or recommendations, special promotions, news or other company announcements. You can get to know your audience and their preferences by implementing a web-based survey or assessing purchasing habits.

Welcome recipients to your list right away, establishing expectations and describing your company's trouble-free email opt-out processes. Interact with your readers by encouraging comments and feedback. Stay mindful of your goal in building long-term customer relationships and brand awareness, avoiding the natural inclination to push a hard sell. Keep messages brief and interesting, with new installments delivered on a regular and predictable schedule.

List segmentation and targeting tools can take campaign relevance to a completely new level, offering the means to present communications based on the recipient's location, interests or behaviors. Companies are able to design sub-lists based on age, geographic location, purchasing habits, customer need or location within the sales funnel. Segmentation capabilities also help email marketers better understand their customer's behavior. As results are analyzed, marketers can fine-tune messages and delivery schedules to align with their readers responses. Like segmentation, message personalization further cultivates rapport and lets readers know you care.

Building your own customer relationships with email has never been easier. Email marketing tools can help bring your creative ideas to life and allow you to communicate in a meaningful way with thousands of customers, without spinning the wheels of the Rolodex. The possibilities are virtually unlimited.

Wouldn't it be great if your new subscribers could access your past newsletter issues and bulk email marketing campaigns? You can do that with some of the major email marketing service providers. A microsite is a mini-website that can best be described as being an online archive of information and an additional doorway for search engines. With a microsite you can easily manage and organize your past newsletter content online so that your users have access to a wealth of published information, previous promotions and product news. If used to its full potential, a microsite can help you push your clients closer toward a buying decision or to the next level of the sales cycle.

The benefits of a microsite

Your own mini-website

You can create an html newsletter and use it as a homepage or page within a microsite, even if you have never sent it as part of an email marketing campaign. So you can even use your microsite to create a mini website for your product offerings.

Your own Web Address

What would a great email marketing service be without offering you your unique web address (or URL, such as www.graphicmail.com/yourcompany) from where your customers can view your microsite? Make sure you get your own!

Easy navigation

A microsite navigation structure isn't complete without an editable drop down menu. GraphicMail for instance offers a menus that are flexible enough for you to continually extend your microsite and to create a launching pad for a variety of marketing opportunities.

Build your brand

… by using a microsite in tandem with your targeted email marketing and promotional campaigns to manage information and its flow, you have an opportunity to build your brand into a resource area over time.

For many of us, computers have become an essential way of living. Many of us keep very important documents on a computer and if we lost them it would cost us time and money to replace them. This is why data backups are essential.

You might think of data backups as something for computer geeks or large companies, or as tasks that can be performed when you have a chance or have nothing better to do. The reality is backups are necessary for everyone whether you run a business or run a home. You might become lazy if your computer runs well, but the reality is that it will fail one day and when that happens you need to know that your data is well cared for.

If your data is not cared for, the day your computer fails will be a day you remember for a long time. You might lose financial information, music collections, photographs, passwords, and all the software you've added to your computer over time. If you've backed up your data, however, all of that will simply be a bad dream and the reality is your data will easily be restored.

What should you back up?
For most of us, it's usually not necessary to back up every file on the computer. This would require large storage space. But at a minimum, most home users should backup personal files and software that you aren't going to be able to replace easily. But there other things you should consider backing up. These include spreadsheets with financial information that wouldn't be easily recovered from other sources, works in progress, legal documents, and much more.

When you think about all the things you store on your computer on a regular basis, you realize the wide variety of documents that do need backing up.
Backup software is not expensive to purchase, and can be set up to back up your data on a specific dates on a regular basis (as on every Friday, for example), or since the last backup. Alternatively you can have the computer backup files on a daily basis and these will be transferred to the main backup program on a regular basis.

Some kinds of data, like e-mails, are little bit more difficult to protect. Some email programs can be configured to keep copies of sent and received e-mails on the e-mail program's Server. When that's not an option, and sometimes it's not depending on the e-mail program you use, you can manually export messages to a backup file and then that can be backed up on a regular basis.

You can back up your data to any kind of removable media. This includes writeable CDs, writeable DVDs, USB devices like zip drives, and removable hard drives. Your data backup usually does not take a great deal of space so you don't need to invest in a backup device with tons of storage space.

It might seem like one more thing to worry about, this daily backing up of your data. But the reality is you'll thank yourself the day you lose your computer and you do not lose any of your important data.

If you're worried about losing files on your computer then it's time to look into some computer backup software. It's much easier to restore files you've already backed up then trying to restore a crashed hard drive. There are plenty of computer backup systems out there that you can use - and we can show you the best ones for your needs and your budget.
